3) Slow or new runners –you’re in luck! Longer exercise coupled with lower exertion levels burns more fat. So don’t worry if you’re not a fast runner, try to run a little further to burn excess calories.

4) Spot-reducing doesn’t work. When it comes to running and weight loss you can’t focus on a specific body part. Weight will come off from running however it pleases.

5) Run for fun. Don’t get discouraged after the first 10 minutes of a run as those first few minutes tend to be the hardest. Plow through the initial ‘hurdles’ and keep on running. After a 45 minute jog, you’ll be happy you continued past the first few minutes.
