Low Cholesterol Diet Info and Weight Loss Motivation to Keep Going on your Healthy Diet
Quit Playing Games with My Heart
Many songs make light of hurting or playing games with the heart –synonymous with the place we feel pain and hurt. The heart is #1 when
it comes to the body’s ability to function. This is why it’s important if
you’re at risk of a heart attack or getting on in age to throw away the
eating habits of your past and embrace a low cholesterol diet. There’s no better
weight loss motivation than getting to your heart before it gets to you. It’s
time to incorporate a healthy diet and shape up.
Shaping up rather than shaping out is of grave importance when it comes to a
lower cholesterol diet. Taking off some extra pounds will only assist
in your efforts to achieve better health –especially when it comes to matters of
the heart.
When seeking a serious diet of this nature, it’s best to consult your
doctor, however, here are a few diet tips which will help you get started:
• Eat chicken and fish rather than red meats which tend to be fattier than their
sea-dwelling and feathered friends.
• When it comes to dairy: low fat. Always choose low fat items for any dairy
products…and yes, that does mean cheese too.
• Increase your consumption of fruits and vegetables.
• Eat less fried food. Instead, grill, broil or steam your meals.
• Try limiting your egg yolk use and if you can't give up your Saturday morning
scrambled eggs do two parts egg whites to one part yolks.
• Substitute polysaturated margarine for butter –and only use on occasion.
Finally, a diet which is low-cholesterol focused is not the end of the world.
The adjustment may be a little tough at first, but take heart, think of it as something
you can have fun with, learn new recipes from and enjoy the feeling of doing
your body good.
