Anytime a new diet sweeps the hearts and minds of eager dieters, people tend to fall head over heals. Similar to young love, diets trends cause people to blindly follow the 'nouveau' weight loss plan without thinking of the consequences.

Carbs are an essential component of a healthy diet. The key is eat them in moderation. Moderation protects us from indulgent and unhealthy eating practices –yet few people follow this simple eating ideal.

Therefore, the verdict is that a low carb diet is somewhere between a miracle and disaster. On one hand, it’s a great way to lose weight, but on the other hand, if carbs are taken out completely -it’s not the healthiest way to lose weight. To make a low carbohydrate diet healthy, practice moderation.
