According to the US Dept. for Health and Human Services, “Having a healthy diet
is one of the most important things you can do to help your overall health.
Along with physical activity, your diet is the key factor that affects your
weight.” From elementary school onwards people learn that a nutritious diet is
important for their health, but many people tend to forget this in the rat race for
the ultimate appearance. They forget the inside at the expense of the outside.
The US Dept. for Health and Human Services also notes that “being overweight or
obese increases your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood
pressure, stroke, breathing problems, arthritis, gallbladder disease, sleep
apnea (breathing problems while sleeping), osteoarthritis, and some cancers.”
With this in mind, have you ever heard a diet company advertise a healthy eating plan in this way?
Obviously not, because they don’t want to scare people into dieting; yet
it’s of grave importance that people seek to live out a nutritious lifestyle and do
everything they can to protect themselves from the above mentioned health risks.
Dieting for the right reasons is important as it provides more compelling and
