Healthy Diets Involve a Mixture of Low Fat Diets and Low Carb Diets for the Best Weight Loss
Mix it Up a Little
When it comes to dieting it seems people are either on one side of the fence
or the other with regard to low fat diets or
low carb diets. However, healthy
diets involve a combination of both philosophies to achieve moderation
or middle ground. Therefore, if you would like to follow a
healthy diet, it’s
necessary to 'jump the fence' and expand your diet horizons.
Just like we mix drinks to create an enhanced taste, the same goes for healthy
dieting. Here are some suggestions for smart dieting:
First, don’t be afraid to combine low fat and low carb. Doing so wisely will
result in the best of both worlds. For example, eat learner meats, lower fat
dairy products and good carbs.
Second, watch your portions. Just because a product has a sticker noting that it's
low fat or
has a low carbohydrate count doesn’t mean it's a ticket to eat more.
Third, a healthy diet involves more than just eating right; it also involves
physical activity. If you don’t already, try to adopt some sort of exercise into
your daily regime. This will help with burning extra calories as well as assist
with general health.
Fourth, drink 8 glasses of water per day. Yes, we’ve all heard this
recommendation since we were young, but water keeps you hydrated as well as aids
in keeping everything moving as it should in your digestive system.
Last but not least, fruits and vegetables are a must and should be eaten on a
daily basis. For detailed information as to what daily amount should be
consumed, consult your country’s food guide.
Most of what it takes to succeed with a healthy diet begins in your mind. With a
strong mental dedication to healthy lifestyle, everything else becomes a matter of
choice.
