The grapefruit diet has been going 'around the block' for years. It’s funny that
something so obscure is so well-known, but perhaps that’s the essence of fad
diets. This short-term weight loss plan is one of many
free online diets. Like
its counterparts, it won’t likely assist you in managing your
cravings and yo-yo
dieting –in fact, it may only add to the struggle. The nutritional grounding of
this so-called ‘healthy diet plan’
is seldom endorsed or suggested, but it’s still interesting to read about. All in all, if you’re looking to lose weight, try
a nutritionally sound weight loss program with both your short and long-term goals in
mind.
The Premise
• Duration: 12 day diet
• Water: Drink 8 glasses a day in conjunction with below plan
• Note: below ‘grapefruit’ means either ½ a grapefruit or drinking 1 cup
unsweetened grapefruit juice
Day to Day
Breakfast- Grapefruit, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon
Lunch- Grapefruit, salad with a dressing of your liking, any kind of meat, eat
until full
Dinner- Grapefruit, salad with a dressing of your linking, OR a red or green
veggie prepared with butter/spices, meat or fish, 1 cup of coffee or tea
Snack-
1 cup of skimmed milk
