Free Online Diets and Weight Loss Programs
Something for Everyone
Before the internet existed, free weight
loss plans weren’t as prolific because there wasn’t as many ways to readily
share information like we have today. Now, thanks to the graces of the world
wide web, we have access to more information than we can ever seek to absorb
–part of which is free online diets. The web has provided a universal means of
distributing information. As a result everyone can get access to
weight loss
help, diet plans and
weight loss programs through the comfort
of their personal computer.
Two examples of free programs are the
cabbage soup diet and the grapefruit diet,
both of which have short-term time investments due their quick-fix and low
nutritional nature. Each provides a basic skeleton of information and assumes that
the followers will abide by the rules and use at their own risk. There is no
accountability or follow-up and little chance for long-term success.
A popular saying is “you get what you pay for” and this much-used adage is
well-suited to the weight loss business as a whole. If you want a personalized
plan, lots of TLC and a strict accountability structure you’ll pay for it -and
sometimes diets of this sort can be very costly.
A more typical approach to dieting is to find a
moderately-priced plan (can be on or off-line) which has a set of general
guidelines which can be applied to each dieters’ needs. Plans of this sort can
be effective and less costly than the latter because they employ less
personalized service and follow an overarching approach versus one-on-one
consultations.
To summarize, price-wise there are a few options from cheapest to most
expensive: free cyber-diets, online versions of well-known diets, in-person
versions of the latter and finally, one-on-one diet consultations.
