Fast and effective weight loss is the kind of diet everyone wants,
however, many quick weight loss plans are often marred with unhealthy products
or bad guidance. If easy weight loss seems too easy, then it’s likely too good
to be true. The ultimate weight loss is the act of losing weight in a
steady, healthy manner and maintaining weight control over time. So how does
fast
weight loss fit into this definition?
In the mid-stages of a diet, healthy weight loss usually comprises about 1 pound a
week. However, when someone first starts a diet, they usually lose weight at a
much quicker rate of anywhere from 2-6 pounds per week.
With this in mind, any regular diet plan can produce fast weight loss if it’s
followed closely.
The benefit to losing weight with a diet program is that once the initial 3-week
or month period of quick weight loss tapers off, people still have a healthy
and effective weight loss program to follow.
The problem with many fad or 3-day diet plans is that although they produce
rapid weight loss, they are not often nutritionally sound and place people into
an unnatural cycle of cravings and yo-yo dieting. This
cycle does not allow for favorable
long term dieting results nor do anything for the dieter's morale or
determination –both of which are important attributes in a person striving for
successful weight loss.
Therefore, before considering a fad diet, it's best to choose from one of many
healthy weight loss programs to start losing weight now and have a better chance
of keeping it off in the future.
