A cleansing diet is similar to a detox diet in
that cleaning out one’s body is effectively a
fast weight loss and detoxification process. Cleanses have become the chic,
short-term wonder people take on to gain a purified self by engaging in a
grueling eating plan. Much debate still lies around the validity of cleans
diets, but either way, people feel a deep sense of satisfaction from taking on a
weight loss system of this nature -mostly because this
diet plan is akin to doing humanitarian work on
the body.
Despite the cleanse diet’s organic roots, many dieters flock to it because the
by-product of a cleanse is quick weight loss. Why and how does a cleanse lead to
rapid weight loss?
A cleanse diet plan leads to rapid weight loss because it involves getting back
to basics. A diet of this nature takes out many foods and food groups during the
course of the diet in an effort to purify the body from pollutants. The
philosophy is that many of the foods we eat contain a large number of
pollutants. Giving the body a break from the offending foods and greatly
lessening its exposure to toxins will give it a fighting chance to get back on
track and lose the pent-up toxins.
A cleanse diet promotes rapid weight loss in a pretty simple fashion. By eliminating
major food groups and eating natural, lower calorie foods for any length of time
will cause the body to shed pounds.
Unfortunately, a detox diet is not designed for weight loss junkies, but people
who want to wash their insides from the toxins we eat, drink and breathe. Prior
to beginning a cleanse or detox diet it’s best to consult your health
